So how do we turn our failure into success?
1. Redefine it...you do not have failures, you have learning experiences. When a business fails the owner does not become a failure, she becomes an experienced entrepreneur.
2. Analyze it...Don’t think about business as win or lose, instead, focus on what you are learning from the experience. That’s how you will eventually become a winner! After each and every setback, big or small, analyze how you can do things differently.
3. Depersonalize it...Stop kicking yourself and get over it; everybody has setbacks. You won’t learn anything if you are busy beating yourself up.
4. Change...So now you know what not to do. The hard part is you have to change your actions. After all - nothing changes until something changes! When you are faced with a similar circumstance , remind yourself what lesson you learned & actively try to change your behavior. This is the only way to change the outcome.
Move on...Don’t dwell on your failures or on your successes. You have a life to live & each day is precious. So, pick yourself up, brush yourself off & start all over again.

Our culture emphasizes success rather than failure. In fact, we avoid talking about our disappointments and choose to focus on the positive. Certainly keeping a positive attitude is important, but why do we try so hard to conceal our failures?
Most people believe that positive thinking will lead to positive results. This is a wonderful attitude as long as it does not prevent us from learning from our failures. Lessons from our failures could be our most insightful guides.
Chances are, sooner or later you will experience a failure (if you have not already). So what then? Do you stop trying? Should you ignore the failure and continue on the same path? Or will you reexamine your goals, choices and methods to see if there is a different or even a better path to take?
Do you think Becky Anderson was without failure? Absolutely not! Becky was faced with many of the same challenges that we are but she chose to continue after a fall.

Happy New Year! 2009 was such an amazing year for me personally & professionally as well as for our team! Our team reached it’s highest level of production and has doubled in size within the last year and I know 2010 will show the same, if not more, powerful growth! Personally in 2009, there were many challenges and many blessings! The challenges turned into successes by using the steps listed in our feature article. And the blessing….well they just keep coming!
